Family Health carries on a proud tradition of quality service to promote optimum health outcomes as related to child growth and development and human reproduction.
Prenatal Services The Family Health Program provides prenatal services and is available to pregnant teenagers as well as income eligible, at risk women. In assessing individual needs and determining what instruction might be necessary, the following areas may be covered:
Postpartum Services A personalized home visit from a public health nurse to any family in Wabasha County with a newborn baby. currently, the first visit is at no cost to the family, as it it covered by a grant or medical assistance. The Public Health nursing visits include:
Family Home Visiting Services These services are available to parents and infants/children birth to 3 years of age. The public health nursing visits may include:
Car Seat Classes Free car seat safety classes are offered monthly. Check with your insurance as many offer a free car seat or money towards a car seat if you take a qualifying class. Parents and grandparents are welcome. Call for next class dates and to register for the class.
WHO PAYS FOR THESE SERVICES? We do bill available resources, but if no payment source is available, we will use grants or Wabasha County Public Health funds, so there is no out of pocket cost to you! |
