  • The primary responsibility of the Extension Office is to manage and deliver the 4-H Program to Wabasha County youth.  Currently there are 200+ youth enrolled in 4-H.
  • Extension provides private pesticide applicator test packets to farmers and ag producers.  Pesticide certification is required for those who apply restricted-use pesticides to their land for ag production.
  • Consumer calls are referred to toll-free numbers where they receive University of Minnesota research-based information, namely the Farm Information Line, Answer Line (non-farm questions).  Consumers are also referred to the U of M Extension website.
  • Two Community Nutrition Educators work in Wabasha County in a program called Simply Good Eating.  This program is for people with limited incomes and is funded by the USDA.
