Meeting of February 1, 2011
The Board of County Commissioners of Wabasha County, Minnesota, convened in Regular Session at the Wabasha County Courthouse, in the City of Wabasha, Minnesota on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Norman. The following Commissioners were present: Norman, Hall, Roschen, Wobbe, Harms
HARMS - ROSCHEN
Motion to approve the agenda.

Commissioners reported on meetings they attended. Administrator’s Update: February 1, Radio meeting, 7:00 p.m. Millville February 10, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Human Services Redesign, Rochester. Who’s going? MN Investment Fund, flood recovery business grant, $1,530,000 DNR $40,000 grant for river cleanup Negotiate new contract with SELCO; negotiating team: Dave Harms, Mike Wobbe, Dave Johnson There was no comment during the public forum.

Motion to approve the consent agenda including the following: Claims Meal Vouchers SSIS Claims Minutes: January 25, 2011 Matching Funds: Sheriff’s Office, SE MN Drug Task Force, $6,000.

Resolution No.: 2011-029
Whereas, the County’s Finance Policy requires the advertisement for bids for the Furnish and Apply Traffic Paint Project.
Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that the Wabasha County Highway Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids for the Furnish and Apply Traffic Paint Project – C.P. 79-11-8020.

Resolution No.: 2011-030
Whereas, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on January 24, 2011 and reviewed the Conditional Use Permit Application by RONALD D MEYER, 12940 EASTVIEW CT, APPLE VALLEY MN 55124.
The request is for an after-the-fact request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow for a Recreational Residence as regulated under Article 9, Sect. 3, Subd. 4, of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance. The conditional use involves the following property:
Parcel # 07.00058.00 EX RR, SE1/4NE1/4 Section 08, T.109 N. – R.13 W. (Hyde Park Township).
Whereas, the Planning Commission approved the request 4-0 and recommends approval from the County Board with the following conditions: None
Now therefore be it resolved that the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners approves the Conditional Use request with listed conditions.

Resolution No.: 2011-031
Whereas, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on January 24, 2011 and reviewed the Conditional Use Permit Application by LARRY T DIEDRICH, 33269 S COUNTY ROAD 11, MILLVILLE MN 55957.
The request is to replace an existing dwelling using alternative elevation methods as per Article 14, Section 5, Subd. 4. The request involves the following described property:
Parcel # 07.00223.00 Lot 1 Block 1and Lot 2 Block 1 of Jarretts Section 23, T.109 N. – R.13 W. (Hyde Park Township)
Whereas, the Planning Commission approved the request 4-0 and recommends approval from the County Board with the following conditions: All Standards for Flood Fringe Conditional Use specifications are met.
Now therefore be it resolved that the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners approves the Conditional Use request with listed conditions.
