Wabasha County Board of Commissioners Meeting of November 25, 2014
The Board of County Commissioners of Wabasha County, Minnesota, convened in Regular Session at the Wabasha County Courthouse, in the City of Wabasha, Minnesota on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
The meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Springer. The following Commissioners were present: Springer, Wobbe, Hall, Harms. Absent: Roschen
HARMS - WOBBE Motion to approve the agenda. Adopted Unanimously WOBBE - HALL Motion to approve the consent agenda including the following: Claims Meal Vouchers Per Diems SSIS Claims Minutes: November 18, 2014 Donation of $2,000 from the Wabasha Area Community Resource Center to the Youth Link Mentorship Program. Donations of $100 from the American Legion Auxiliary 546, Kellogg; and $400 from the Piece Makers Quilters, Plainview/Elgin, to the Veterans Service Office for transportation to the VA Medical Center Adopted Unanimously WOBBE – HALL Resolution No.: 2014-239 Whereas, it is a fact that disasters can and do happen. Wabasha County needs to prepare for the ability to continue service to our residents even if we have a catastrophe here on the county campuses that temporarily or permanently displaces county employees from their normal work places; and Whereas, the State Auditor's Office has requested that the county have a disaster recovery plan with guidance as to items needed to be included in such a plan; and Whereas, Wabasha County created a committee to create such a plan and have completed the same with the title of Wabasha County Continuity of Government (COG) Plan; and Now Therefore, be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that this Continuity of Government Plan be adopted as the official disaster recovery plan for Wabasha County. Adopted Unanimously SPRINGER - WOBBE Resolution No.: 2014-240 Whereas, Wabasha County has completed the hiring process for the retention of an Assistant Wabasha County Attorney, and Whereas, the County of Wabasha has offered and Jacob J. Barnes has accepted the position of Assistant Wabasha County Attorney, Now, Therefore, be it resolved that the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the employment of Jacob J. Barnes as Assistant Wabasha County Attorney at Step 1($60,810.05 plus COLA effective in 2015). Mr. Barnes's starting date of employment shall be January 5, 2015. Adopted Unanimously
