Meeting of November 15, 2011

 

The Board of County Commissioners of Wabasha County, Minnesota, convened in Regular Session at the Wabasha County Courthouse, in the City of Wabasha, Minnesota on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.

 

The meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Norman.

 

The following Commissioners were present: Norman, Hall, Wobbe, Harms. Absent: Roschen

Motion to approve the agenda.

Adopted Unanimously

Commissioners reported on meetings they attended.

 

Administrator's Update:

Senator Howe's office called to offer to meet with the Board November 22 since he couldn't be at today's meeting. Is this something the Board wants to do? (Yes, either Human Service's meeting or regular Board meeting.)

Courthouse boiler is repaired and functioning.

There is a problem with the fan shaft on the CJC emergency generator. We are three months out of warranty but it has only 61 hours on it, we are working with the vendor to try and have it covered by warranty.

Motion to approve the consent agenda including the following:

WOBBE - HALL

Resolution No.: 2011-242

Whereas, Wabasha County is a member of the Minnesota Counties Computer Cooperative; and

Whereas, each member is required to have a voting delegate and alternate.

Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners hereby approved Denise M Anderson as the delegate and Kyle Jervis as the alternate to the Minnesota Counties Computer Cooperative.

Resolution No.: 2011-243

Whereas, Wabasha County uses a computerized system for managing property valuations, and;

Whereas, the software currently in use is maintained by ACS, Inc, by contract with the ACS CAMA user group of MCCC, a joint powers body of which Wabasha County is a party, and;

Whereas, the existing contract between MCCC and ACS expires at the end of this year, and a new contract has been negotiated and approved by MCCC and ACS, and;

Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that the County Administrator be authorized to ratify the proposed new contract.

Whereas, Wabasha County uses a computerized system for managing property taxes, and;

Whereas, the software currently in use is maintained by ACS, Inc, by contract with the ACS PTS user group of MCCC, a joint powers body of which Wabasha County is a party, and;

Whereas, the existing contract between MCCC and ACS expires at the end of this year, and a new contract has been negotiated and approved by MCCC and ACS, and;

Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that the County Administrator be authorized to ratify the proposed new contract.

Resolution No.: 2011-245

Whereas, Projects SAP 079-604-048 and 079-633-007 – Bituminous Reclamation and Paving on CSAH 4 and 33 with any and/or all Supplemental Agreements, Change Orders or Work Orders, has been completed.

Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that the Wabasha County Auditor/Treasurer be authorized to issue a warrant for final payment to Rochester Sand And Gravel, Inc in the amount of $111,550.31.
