Meeting of July 17, 2014

 

The Board of County Commissioners of Wabasha County, Minnesota, convened in Regular Session at the Wabasha County Fairgrounds, in the City of Wabasha, Minnesota on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.

 

The meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Springer.

The following Commissioners were present: Springer, Wobbe, Hall, Harms. Absent: Roschen

Motion to approve the agenda.

Motion to approve the consent agenda including the following:

Claims

Meal Vouchers

Per Diems

SSIS Claims

Minutes: July 1, 2014

Donations from Lakeshore Agency, Lake City-$100; Alliance Bank, Lake City- $25; Lake City Printing Company-$50; Foresight Bank, Plainview-$100; Lake City Federal Bank-$100 to the Youth Link Mentorship Program. Donation of $50 from Schleicher Funeral Homes to the Youth Link Mentorship Program.

Adopted Unanimously

 

Lynda Boudreau from Congressman John Kline's District Office gave an update of activities.

Budget appropriation requests were presented by the Wabasha Soil & Water Conservation District, Southern Minnesota Tourism Association, and SEMCAC Senior Nutrition.

 

WOBBE - SPRINGER

Resolution No. 2014-176

Whereas, Kelly McDonald, owner of AMUSA, a Minnesota LLC, went to the City of Wabasha's Port Authority requesting a loan in the form of a business subsidy to finance the expansion of her business located in Greenfield Township adjacent to the city limits of the City of Wabasha; and

Whereas, if the County agrees to enter in to the JPA the County would serves as a facilitator for the lending and granting of funding to Ms. McDonald and the Port Authority would agree to provide the loan/funding; and

Now Therefore Be It Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners agree to enter into the referenced JPA.
