Meeting of June 2, 2015

 

The Board of County Commissioners of Wabasha County, Minnesota, convened in Regular Session at the Wabasha County Courthouse, in the City of Wabasha, Minnesota on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.

 

The meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Wobbe.

The following Commissioners were present: Goihl, Hall, Key, Springer, Wobbe

Motion to approve the agenda.

Motion to approve the consent agenda including the following:

Meal Vouchers

Per Diems

Donation of $300 from Patricia Laska to the Veterans Service Office to offset costs of mental health appointments. Donation of $2,000 from the American Legion Auxiliary Post 110 of Lake City to Veterans Service Office for transporting veterans to VA Medical Center. Donation of $300 from Michelle Schweisberger to the Substance Abuse Court to help retain the program and general operating funds.

Motion to close the open meeting and open the Clean Water Plan Public Hearing.

No citizens were present to speak at the public hearing. Terri Peters of the Soil and Water Conservation District stated that the next step in the process is to submit the Plan to the State for their review. The State will leave the plan open for a 60-day public comment period and provide feedback to the County.

The Board approved the Clean Water Plan by consensus.

 

SPRINGER - KEY

Motion to close the Public Hearing and open the regular Board meeting.

Senator Schmidt gave a legislative update.

Soil & Water Conservation District update was given by Terri Peters, District Manager

 

KEY - HALL

Resolution No.: 2015-124

Whereas, the Fiscal Year 2013 Feedlot NRBG allocation was distributed between both Wabasha County and the SWCD with match required by both entities; and Wabasha County and the Wabasha SWCD can justify the reported

funds were spent appropriately necessary match was met and reported and as the County returned $15,875.32 that was not reported as spent.

Whereas, the All Details Report shows how the funds were spent as reported to BWSR; and the money was spent by the grant expiration date.

Now Therefore Be It Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that sign the Final Financial Report.

Bob Goede gave a presentation on the Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust.

Commissioners reported on meetings they attended.
