Wabasha County Board of Commissioners Meeting of June 21, 2016 The Board of County Commissioners of Wabasha County, Minnesota, convened in Regular Session at the Wabasha County Courthouse, in the City of Wabasha, Minnesota on Tuesday, June 21st, at 4:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Hall. The following Commissioners were present: Goihl, Hall, Key, Springer, Wobbe GOIHL-KEY Motion to approve the agenda Adopted Unanimously Presentation by Traci Green, Court Services Director SPRINGER-KEY Motion to approve the consent agenda including the following: Minutes: June 7th, 2016 Claims Meal Vouchers Per Diems Donation: Accept donations from Cheryl Key, Melissa Douglas and Matt Kohn to be used toward the purchase of a new K-9 Resolution No.: 2016-149 Whereas, the Highway Department has determined that the Highway Maintenance Supervisor shall utilize a take home vehicle, and Whereas, the vehicle to be utilized meets the IRS definition of a qualified non-personal use vehicle. Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that the Highway Department is authorized to allow for the use of a take home vehicle by the Highway Maintenance Supervisor as reasonably determined by the Highway Department. Resolution No.: 2016-150 Now Therefore be it Resolved that the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that Wabasha County enter into the attached “Cooperative Agreement Between Wabasha-Kellogg School District, City of Wabasha and Wabasha County” for installation of two flashing warning signs near the School property on Wabasha County Highway 30 and hereby authorizes the Chair of the Board and County Administrator to execute the above Agreement. Adopted Unanimously WOBBE-SPRINGER Resolution No.: 2016-151 Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that the Wabasha County Highway Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids for SP 079-630-017 paving of shoulders on County Hwy 30 between Hwy 61 (south junction) and Binner Way and resurfacing of City of Wabasha Trail. Adopted Unanimously WOBBE-KEY Resolution No.: 2016-152 Now Therefore be it Resolved that the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that Wabasha County enter into the attached “Cooperative Agreement Between City of Wabasha and Wabasha County” for improvement project SP 079-630-017 paving of shoulders on County Hwy 30 between Hwy 61 (south junction) and Binner Way and resurfacing of City of Wabasha Trail, and hereby authorizes the Chair of the Board and County Administrator to execute the above Agreement. Adopted Unanimously GOIHL-KEY Resolution No.: 2016-153 Whereas, the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners is required to set a proposed property tax levy annually, and Whereas, the Board declares its intention that the 2017 property tax levy shall not increase by more than 5% of the 2016 final levy. Now, Therefore, be it resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that the County 2017 proposed property levy to be finalized in September is not to exceed 5% of the final 2016 property tax levy. Adopted Unanimously SPRINGER-KEY Resolution No.: 2016-154 Whereas, Wabasha County implements many network servers in a virtual configuration on a small number of physical hosts; Whereas, the network switch modules that connect these hosts are old and can be replaced with better, faster switches; Whereas, the IT Department has researched options compatible with our other systems and has received sales quotes for replacement equipment; Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that, the IT Director is hereby authorized to purchase three used switch modules, for not more than $23,000. Adopted with Springer and Key supporting purchase of used equipment GOIHL-SPRINGER Resolution No.: 2016-155 Whereas, Wabasha County implements many network servers in a virtual configuration on a small number of physical hosts; Whereas, two of those hosts are old and need to be retired; Whereas, the IT Department has researched options compatible with our other systems and has received sales quotes for replacement equipment; Now Therefore be it Resolved by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners that, the IT Director is hereby authorized to purchase two new servers and parts from TSG Servers & Storage, Inc., for not more than $10,000.
