Wabasha County Public Health is the official health agency for the county. It's mission is to protect, promote,and preserve the health of the public.

The Public Health Agency offers numerous services to the residents of our county. Services offered in the Family Health Program include: Maternal/Child Health, School Health, WIC, Child & Teen Check-up, Infant Follow Along, Free Pregnancy Testing, and Family Planning. We also offer the Home Care Program to assistthe elderly with independant living at home. Our Disease Prevention and Control program offers immunizations at low or no fee, communicable disease investigation, as well as communicable disease education. Free physicals including Mammograms and Pap tests are available for low income women over the age of 40. Our Health Education Program offers various topics throughout the year in an attempt to educate our citizens aboutvarious health issues and health life choices. Tobacco will be a major focus in the years 2001-2002.
