SNAP Employment & Training Services

The goal of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training Program (SNAP E & T) is to help SNAP recipients gain employment and self-sufficiency.

As of December 1, 2018, the E & T program is all voluntary.  This means that you will no longer be required to work with SNAP E & T to receive SNAP food benefits.  These services, however, will still be available to SNAP participants who want help meeting the work requirements in order to earn additional months of SNAP benefits or to improve their employment prospects and wage potential.  Any SNAP participant can take advantage of an array of services on a voluntary basis.

SNAP E & T can provide SNAP applications and recipients with help such as:
  • Free training.
  • Supportive services such as transportation assistance and other job related necessities.
  • Help with job search.
To learn more about how SNAP Employment and Training can help you, please contact us or contact our Employment and Training Provider, Workforce Development, Inc..  We would be happy to tell you about the E & T programs and answer any questions you may have.
